NOONAN have a fantastic opportunity for a driven security professional to join a well-established team as it seeks to secure the integrity of the student Halls of Residence, its people and property. In addition to being customer focused and client facing the incumbent must have the inherent capacity to communicate with students, residential teams, their visitors and contractors. You should have a proactive approach to prob-lem solving and a calm nature to resolve any conflicts which may arise, above all else we seek a team player who can contribute positively to the way the team seeks to support the residential customers at the Uni-versity of East London in Docklands.

This role is available on a full time permanent basis, working 12-hour shifts on a 4 on 4 off rota system, to include, evenings, night and weekend shifts.

Roles and Responsibilities Include:
• Responsible for the security integrity of the Halls of Residence at the University of East London.
• Control of access into the residence including deliveries, visitors and contractors
• Respond to Fire and alarm systems
• Patrolling and security checks
• Coordination of security reactions to incidents across the residence
• Coordination of evacuation in the event of a fire
• Emergency planning and coordination
• Intruder detection and intervention
• Asset protection including personal and commercial property
• Experience in the delivery of a discreet, confidential and unobtrusive service.

Qualifications and Experience
• A current SIA Door Supervisor License is essential – applicants will not be considered if you do not hold a valid license.
• Previous University, residential or hotel Concierge and security experience.
• Strong Customer Service skills.
• Excellent verbal and literacy skills for report writing
• Good interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate clearly with people at all levels projecting a confident and professional manner.
• To be able to observe and accurately record incidents as they occur.
• Be able to prioritise workloads and be flexible in the approach to varied tasks.
• Strong team player; enjoys supporting, sharing, learning with the team.
• ·Willing to take responsibility and ownership for tasks.
• ·Strong sense of discretion, appreciating the confidentiality of the work.
• ·Committed to providing the best service possible.
