Position: Regional Trainer
Location: Birmingham and North
Job Type: Full Time, 15 months Fixed Term Contract
Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: circa £28k, plus car or car allowance

About the role:

We are looking for people who have a good understanding of the new apprenticeship standards, are experienced trainers, passionate about delivering learning and thrive on being instrumental to the development of others.

Our Trainers will manage their own caseload of around 50 learners within a designated region. The role is primarily to deliver the programme to set standards and visit learners regularly to support, coach and guide them through vocational training and assessment. GUK provided a 24/7 service so flexibility and adaptable to work out of normal hours to meet the needs of the learner is essential.


- Direct the delivery of enrolment and training of learners
- Assist in the development and review of training materials
- Set and monitor training targets that link on and off the job training
- Conduct regular participant reviews and keep accurate records including ILPs and ESFA documentation
- Prepare, agree & review assessment plans with each candidate against required standards

About you:

- Qualified Trainer / Coach - Level 3 TAQA or A1 / equivalent assessor qualification (this can be obtained within agreed timescales with GUK)
- Functional Skills in Maths, English & ICT at Level 2 or willing to work towards
- Completed relevant and recent CPD
- Good knowledge of current issues within the Customer Service & security area
- Excellent communication skills
- The flexibility to travel and stay away from home
- Competent user of IT and E-Portfolio experience
- Deliver timely completion rates for learners and to manage learner retention
- Ideally you will already be a successful Standards Trainer in Customer Service
- PTLLS would be advantageous
- IQA Award would be advantageous
