ISS Facility Services - Security are seeking a Security and Services Coordinator required for a client site based in York, working on a Full Time Permanent basis contracted to 60 Hours Per week on a Monday – Friday, including Public/Bank Holidays, the role may require some night and weekend work and flexibility due to operational demand as well as some on-call commitments. This is a Front of House role in a corporate environment.
To provide Security services operating and supporting the Area Manager in delivering to meet the client’s behaviours.
The Security Coordinator is to ensure that operationally agreed duties and practices are met and expedited to the satisfaction of the client. The Security Coordinator will act as a point of contact with Incident Management and escalation to the client, whilst ensuring that the team complete all the required functions in line with current Standard and Emergency Operating Procedures.
To be responsible for all Security related matters, ensuring the protection of infrastructure, safety of personnel and that all actions of the security team have a positive impact on the reputation of the company. All Security matters must be dealt with in accordance with the set policies and procedures, where applicable, and the Security Coordinator must be able to use their initiative during incident management. The Security Coordinator must work closely with the client’s Operational Management team and the ISS Account and Area Management team to provide a professional and efficient service to the client.
To be responsible for assisting with the maintenance and review of all Operational Procedures on site, a focus on delivery of exceptional customer service and mitigating risks to the firm’s assets, people and reputation through a range of security solutions in line with the agreed output specifications and KPI’s. The Security Coordinator will also work as needed with joint planning and inclusion with the Scheduling department and Area/Account Managers.
The successful candidate for the role of Security Coordinator must have a strong understanding of systems and a proven track record in the Security Industry and quality procedures. The candidate must be able to demonstrated effective Team Management & Man-Management to a high level. The candidate must also possess the ability to produce reports, processes and procedures to a high and consistent level.
Physical Security, protection of client assets and people.
Assist and support training needs to ensure they are identified and appropriate training & development is delivered.
Operationally support the Area Manager in delivery of the agreed service levels.
To assist with monthly audits on all Security practices and process, which include SOP’s EOP’s and AI’s.
Support in delivery of SOP’s across the security team
Provide Operational support and act as a point of contact out of hours if and when required.
Assist in maintaining compliance with all Health & Safety legislation.
Assist and be a point of contact for Incident Management, ensuring that incidents are correctly managed and escalated as per client specifications.
Ensure the security team is staffed as required by the Contract Manning Plan
Management of the security team including distribution of daily rotas, daily briefings/roll call, administration and holiday management.
Maintain and update appraisal reviews and monthly Quality Inspection Reports.
Carry out the duties of Incident Commander in the event of incidents and alarm activations ensuring the correct application of escalation procedures.
Other day-to-day responsibilities as dictated by circumstances and the needs of the business and client.
Ensure high standards are maintained at all times with a focus on maximising the output and performance of all team members.
Take responsibility for the induction and training of new starters, in conjunction with ISS Management.
Complete the required Incident reports in the event of an incident, focussing on quality and timely reporting.
Promote a secure and safe working environment on site through the implementation and continuous improvement of agreed Health and Safety actions.
Assist in leading the security team by fostering team spirit and co-operation, the encouragement of open expression of differing ideas and opinions and ensuring resolution.
Ensuring that any complaints are dealt with in a professional and timely manner.
Ensuring that all equipment provided to assist security is fully operational with any issues reported.
Ensure that there is a robust and effective key control process in place.
3 -5 years Supervisory or Management experience.
Client focus and understanding of expectations within client environment.
Attention to detail
Sound understanding of principles of delegation
Excellent time management skills, highly organised, with the ability to set and meet deadlines
Communication and presentation skills of high level
Good team management/communication skills
Able to administer first aid (First Aid preferred, training will be provided.)
