Security Officer

Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Full Time Security Officer to join our team in Peterborough the position will be Gatehouse based, duties include booking in of deliveries, patrolling, alarm monitoring, dealing with Visitors and contractors, as Security are the first point of contact for anyone entering the clients premises all candidate must be confident in speaking and understanding English, you must be able to communicate to all levels of management, the candidates appointed will be supported by on site supervision ensuring the correct level of training is provided Duties will include but are not limited to: Access Control Searching Authenticating right of access Completing all necessary paperwork and admin duties Conducting visible patrols Maintaining a high standard of security Alarm monitoring Be able to work without supervision Key attributes: Customer focussed Self-motivated, proactive & willing to learn Sympathetic and responsible within the site specific guidelines Able to fit into our client environment and improve the customer experience Essential skills: Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Confident English speaking (other languages would be advantageous) Previous security industry experience with relevant and valid SIA licence Able to demonstrate previous 5 years working history Hold a clean driving licence with access to own transport Possess strong IT skills (particularly with Microsoft Excel and Word) Confident in using telephone/switchboard systems for any reception based duties Strong organisational and administration skills Ability to multi-task Report writing Desirable skills: First Aid training What we offer: Career development and training – focused on technical skills, equipment, working methods, management, team building and interpersonal skills hours per week working a rotation pattern of nights including weekends an average of 56hrs per week, overtime is available 28 days annual leave Performance related incentives Access to an Employee Assistance Programme with Health Assured Competitive rates of pay £7.83per hour Strong induction to make sure you are fully prepared to work on site Why work for Trigion?
